Extra Day Version Released!
A day later, and I've finished the "Extra Day" version. This is effectively what I would've put out if I had an extra day during the jam.
I do plan to continue updating and fleshing out the game, in the "Post-Jam" versions.
(OSX version labeled "broken??" because a couple friends who have macs reported that the OS said the file was broken and needed to be trashed. Since I don't have a mac to test with, I can't confirm whether or not it works right now.)
Changelog:
- Boost meter now auto charges. Press boost once meter is full to activate.
- Max boost power increased from 30 to 40.
- Boost charge speed takes longer to decrease.
- Boost power takes longer to decrease.
- Speedometer's max display value increased from 100 to 200. Still easy to go past it.
- Completion texts now display a (more) readable time.
- Timer now actually resets upon resetting the game from the menu.
- Coin hitbox radius increased.
- Slope acceleration slightly reduced. Should make running up walls easier. (the loop is still annoying, but whatever)
- Gravity's effect on the player while grounded is reduced with how fast you're going.
- Player no longer slides down slight slopes.
- Menu properly scales and positions itself in aspect ratios skinnier than 16:9
- Added option for Mouselook (on by default)
- Added jump sound
